Terms and Conditions
By downloading, accessing, or using Arrivo ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
1.1 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Arrivo for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
1.2 Permitted Use
You agree to use Arrivo only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Use the App in any way that could impair its functionality or interfere with other users' enjoyment
2. Permissions and Background Features
2.1 Location Services
Arrivo's core functionality depends on location services. By using the App, you acknowledge that:
- You will be prompted to grant location permissions
- "Always" location access enables intelligent arrival alarms in the background
- You can modify these permissions at any time in iOS Settings
- Disabling location may significantly reduce the App's utility
2.2 Background Processing
Arrivo uses iOS background modes to:
- Monitor your location for arrival triggers
- Play alarm sounds (Audio background mode)
- Update travel time estimates (Background Processing)
These are essential features of the App. By using Arrivo, you consent to these background activities.
2.3 Notifications
Arrivo sends local notifications for alarms and reminders. You are responsible for managing your notification preferences in iOS Settings.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for ensuring that the destinations, times, and other information you enter into Arrivo are accurate. We are not responsible for missed appointments or late arrivals resulting from incorrect user input.
3.2 Device and Connectivity
You are responsible for maintaining your device, including:
- Sufficient battery charge
- Internet connectivity for real-time traffic updates
- iOS updates and compatibility
Important: Arrivo relies on GPS, network connectivity, and iOS background execution. These may be affected by device settings, battery saver modes, poor GPS signal, or network outages. We cannot guarantee 100% reliability in all conditions.
4. Limitations and Disclaimers
4.1 "As Is" Basis
Arrivo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
4.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that:
- Travel time estimates will be precise
- Alarms will trigger in all device states
- Location data will be 100% accurate
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
4.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arrivo and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any conduct or content of third parties
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Missed appointments, late arrivals, or any personal or professional consequences
5. Third-Party Services
Arrivo may use third-party services (Apple Maps, Core Location, etc.) that have their own terms. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
6. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to Arrivo immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date and posting on this page. Continued use of Arrivo after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
